We could help more if you offered greater detail.

Are you asking for advise on how to write a reference letter, request a reference letter, meet someone who could someday provide a reference letter?

If you are seeking a reference, what kind of reference are you after?  A letter can address your research capability, your grades, your academic ambition, academic blemishes, etc etc etc.

Who will be receiving the letter?  A graduate program?  A scholarship committee?  An industrial group?

Who will be writing the letter?  A professor, a friend, a boss? Is this an appropriate person to be writing the letter?

If the letter is being sent to a graduate program, which program is it for?  A reference letter for a science program will differ considerably from a letter sent to a creative writing program.

To tell us all this would of course be overkill, but if you want us to be more helpful than a google search, we need something a bit more meaty.
