Chances for Funding for Spring Applicants

Hi all,

Unfortunately I missed the deadline to apply for a program for Fall 2013. I was thinking about applying for the MS in Biology program at UMASS Boston. While it's unlikely that someone will be able to speak to this program specifically, I was wondering if anyone had a general idea-- is it less likely to get funding for an assistantship for Spring applicants?

I feel like they'd be more likely to give assistantships to those applying in the new school year, for the Fall semester. Any thoughts?
