Additional funding from SAIS

I was wondering if anyone here had had luck asking for additional funding from SAIS, and specifically from IDEV? I was given about half tuition from both Fletcher and SFS, but nothing from SAIS IDEV. I emailed the financial aid office and they said that only 30% of admitted IDEV students are given funding and there is no second round. 

 

Does anyone have a success story or think it would still be a good idea at this point to contact the IDEV director?

Since you didn't get funding from SAIS in the first place, logically you can't ask for additional funding...

No; first-year funding or lack thereof is non-negotiable. It is possible to get funding second year if you do well academically your first year.
