KrissysWill Posted March 28, 2013 Posted March 28, 2013 Hello everyone, I applied to Columbia's PhD in History for Fall 2013 and have yet to hear anything about my decision. I have been playing a constant game of phone/ e-mail tag with the admissions office. I feel like there is a huge disconnect between that particular office and the admissions committee. Does that make sense? I'm really frustrated at this point because I received an offer from another school and I can't make any decisions without hearing from Columbia. Has anyone else experienced this? Do you think I have been wait-listed? Heck, knowing my luck they probably rejected me and forgot to tell me :-( Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!! Have a great day! KW~
CageFree Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 Send them an e-mail. Personally, I think it's embarrassing for a program to wait THIS late to notify people... this is why waitlists were created.
Katzenmusik Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 When you say "the admissions office" do you mean the general Graduate School at Columbia? Would be better to email the Director of Graduate Studies within the history department, if you haven't already.
