Masters at Rice University,Houston

Hi all,

          Need a small clarification regarding masters at Rice university.How is the department of electrical and computer engineering(ECE) at rice university???

How are the research facilities,campus placements,funding and other aspects at rice university?

I'm a Rice undergrad majored in ECE. The ECE department of Rice is small, so you probably won't find researches opportunities in any sub areas in ECE. You may need to check if Rice's research direction matches yours. As far as I know, Rice is good at compressed sensing, nano areas and still has good reputation in general signal processing because of Sidney Burrus (go check wiki). About research facilities, as long as there are researches in that area, there should be facilities you might need.  The campus placement is still very good, but not as good as the big state schools. And Rice is rich. 

In general, it is a small, private, elite school that is good for one to pursue his/her academic interests.
