Magmar Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Hi all. I'm new to grad cafe, but I'm in desperate need of some advice! I applied to three Art History MA programs for Fall 2013 and have been (thankfully) admitted to all of them. I am currently deliberating which offer to accept: my first choice school is the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and my second in CUNY Hunter College. My only hesitation with SAIC is the cost! I really like the way their program is designed (unlike Hunter's general Art Hist. MA, it is focused only on Modern/Contemporary Art, Crit. and Theory), and I am much more familiar with the city of Chicago since I have friends and family there. I recieved a grant for a few thousand dollars, but it's still significantly more expensive. While I think Hunter would be great and save me some hefty debt, I'm just way less "psyched" about going there, to put it simply. Does anyone have any overwhelming pros/cons for either program that could help me make my decision?
