MS in MechE at SCU or MS Bioengineering at SDSU??

So I have been admitted into MS in Mechanical Engineering in Santa Clara University and MS Bioengineering in San Diego State University....This is a tough decision as it's between two different schools and different majors...My main concern is job search after graduation, , , I prefer the classes offered by SDSU in BioEng but I do not know:

1) If it is a good idea to do it right next to UCSD, UCLA, UCI....so competitive...

2) Their thesis projects looks sketchy...

3) The campus sounds super party and unsafe

4) How good their program really is...

But I also heard SDSU has better ties with industory than SCU,,,is it true??? Anyone familiar with the two programs and the two schools?
