ak48 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 I know this topic has been debated ad infinitum, but this is one (humanities) graduate student who talks about the difficultly of giving advice to potential students on the question: Should I attend graduate school? tldr: finding the definitive answer to "should I go to grad school" kinda requires knowledge of the meaning of life http://www.newyorker.com/online/blogs/books/2013/04/graduate-school-advice-impossible-decision.html St Andrews Lynx, abeilles, quilledink and 1 other 4
katieliz456 Posted April 24, 2013 Posted April 24, 2013 Thanks for sharing! This is one of the best articles I've read on this topic
1Q84 Posted April 25, 2013 Posted April 25, 2013 I really like this one (aside from the somewhat clumsy inclusion of literature quotations)! Not super depressing or hyperbolic like other articles and actually refreshingly agnostic, which tends to be my copout ideology when it comes to heavily debated topics like God and grad school.
