arnamoy Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hello; Recently, I have confusion for choosing a PhD school between NCSU and ETH Zurich. My goal after doing PhD is join a company for a job. But I am an Indian citizen and I have heard that getting a job in Europe is difficult for a non-EU citizen. So my only options are North America (USA/Canada). From that perspective, will NCSU (USA) have an edge over ETH? (will USA consider a PhD from ETH the same way they will treat a PhD from NCSU?) P.S - Both professors are of similar reputation and I ike both of their work. It has all boiled down to job prospects after my PhD, Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks a lot
DeleteMePlease Posted May 16, 2013 Posted May 16, 2013 If you are worried about getting a work visa, there is something called the "Blue Card" in Europe. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_Card_(European_Union) However, keep in mind that Switzerland is NOT a member of the European Union.
