Hi Folks,

I'd like to apply for part-time PhD and I'm looking for an assistantship/scholarship bcz my employer won't be able to provide more than 10 grand/year which is not sufficient for sponsoring my PhD program. Any info about institution offering such services?

Thanks,

Mohamed

It would help if we knew where in the country you are located, how far you are willing to travel, what institutions you are interested in, the grades/experience/publications/etc.etc.etc

This would all be very helpful in gauging how competitive you would be for admission and funding.

Otherwise the best anyone here can do, is probably just link you to a list of all the universities within the country (assuming your location actually is the USA)

Hi Nicholas,

I graduated from Egyptian University in 2011 with a grade of Excellent with honor degree. I have been interned with Google while my undergraduate studies. After graduation, I worked for FedEx Services for 10 months and then I attended Summa Technologies, best workplace in Western PA. I have one international journal publication and another IEEE Conference pulication. FYI, all my publications are single author pubs. I'm reviewer at the international journal of Computer Science and Information Technology. I'm Program Committee at two international organizations. I was invited to the annual conference of the Department of Defense in US and I was invited as speaker for China Info-Tech 2013 conference in Shanghai. I'm looking for part-time PhD in computer science in one of the top schools. I checked with CMU/Silicon Valley and they have available part-time programs.

Thanks,

FYI, I lived  Pittsburgh, PA in US. I have been to MIT and CMU before. I dunno if there are independent institutions that offer grants/scholarships/assistantships to top schools. I mean some institutions like UN, UNICEF or any other research labs.
