redflower37 Posted May 12, 2013 Posted May 12, 2013 So, I'm sort of interested in going to IHEID, although earlier this morning, I was completely unsure about anything. Anyways, I am an undergraduate student double majoring in Political Science and History, with a minor in French. I want to apply to IHEID, but I'm afraid my Bachelor's degree isn't enough. What kinds of things should I do to pad my resume? I have very little work experience, but what are your suggestions? I was recently hired to work as an Admin. Assistant with the government(in Canada). It's a part-time job for a student, and although I'm quite pleased, I feel I need more to really impress. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm lucky to live in Ottawa, so there are perhaps some opportunities for volunteering of internships here. Also, after my undergrad, I was planning on taking a bit of time off school and going to teach English somewhere for a year or two. Does anyone have suggestions on what I should do instead to really give myself an advantage when applying to IHEID? Thank you!!
