Guest guest Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 hi, declining graduate acceptance offers has been a more stressful process than i imagined. i'd like to preferably write a short, but positive sounding letter. should i include a/the reason why i am declining an offer and where i will be attending? any other important things to include? or even better yet, does anyone have a sample letter they would like to share?
PETRAL6 Posted April 5, 2006 Posted April 5, 2006 If you have have spoken with a possible mentor, I would call them personally. Then for the letter for the grad school, if they gave you a form, just fill it out. If they didn't, I would just say you appreciate the offer, think it was a great opportunity and that you found a better fit for you. Keep it short and sweet.
