Statement & Personal History - UCDavis

UCDavis asks for: statement of purpose, personal history statement (both 4000 character limit), and a prior experience essay (2000 character limit).

 

Does anyone know what they would be looking for in the prior experience essay (does a CV/resume suffice?)? Most Sociology programs are asking for only a statement of purpose (and not the other two).

If its a prior experience essay it should be much much more than a CV or resume. You might be expected to link in your past experiences - job, research, academic - with both your motivation and capability for pursuing the specifc research areas you outline in your SOP.
