Chella Posted July 6, 2013 Posted July 6, 2013 Hello Everyone!! Want to know about the worth of doing an Online MS Degree in Computer Science. After searching for a while I found that there are very few schools that provide an MS Comp Sc degree online. They are: 1.University of Southern California 2.Univ of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) 3.Pennsylvania State University (through World Campus program). I gave my gre some months back with the intention of going abroad. But since then a lot of things changed and now am in a situation where I cannot go (due to family problems and stuff). But I really want to do my MS now and don't want to postpone or wait hoping for things to change. Hence looking into online degrees. Please help me find answers to the following questions: 1. Is an online MS degree in Computer Science worth it? Is the degree equivalent in value to a regular one? 2. Apart from the ones mentioned above are there any other online programs (for Comp Sc) from any other schools? 3. And are there 100% online programs? Because I saw that some programs require that the remote learning student attend at least one semester on campus, to be eligible to get the degree. I sincerely appreciate any advice/suggestions on these questions. Also request you to provide any other useful links/info on online degrees. Thanks everyone in advance! Chella.
