Amiga Posted August 16, 2013 Posted August 16, 2013 I am preparing a master's degree in the International Relations and I would like to ask about some academic journals where I can publish my articles and my research papers. Actually, I had experiences in participating in some international conferences in my country , but I am asking about journals where I can publish without attending any conferences.
MsDarjeeling Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 If you're already in a Master's program this is the kind of thing you should ask your professors. They should know plenty about publishing options in your field with or without conferences.
Guest ||| Posted August 17, 2013 Posted August 17, 2013 I cannot speak to your field, but at least in mine, you publish far more often in journals that are unrelated to any particular conference. That said your best bet, as stated above, is to speak with your supervisor or professors within the field.
danieleWrites Posted August 18, 2013 Posted August 18, 2013 Hop onto a database related to your field and stick in a series of subject terms related to what you're doing. Make note of the journals that crop up. Read some of these journals a bit so you can get a feel for how they like papers to read. Tailor accordingly and submit. You can try google scholar, but a dedicated d-base seems to work best. Sage has a ton of publications they deal with, and a d-base to go with. Check JSTOR. Fact o' publishing life: not only do you have to create a well-research article, you have to research the publication.
