confuzzled
So I just signed up for the paper GRE in October and I realized that I have no idea where in the college I selected the test will be taking place (IE a room and building number). A cursory search of the college website doesn't reveal anything; do I have to contact someone to figure out where it will be? I already have to take a two hour bus trip to get to the city where the college is located and I have never been there before, so it would be nice if I didn't have to run frantically through the halls on test day searching for a marked door or whatever (especially since it is at 8 am O_O)! Also: this site has been very useful for me. A cursory thanks!
33andathirdRPM
There should be a phone number associated with the testing site that you can call to find such information. Also, make sure to show up nice and early for the GRE so you have an opportunity to stow your things and get comfortable before it's time to begin. TakeruK
I wrote my Subject GRE at a college campus 3 hours away from where I was living (the test was at 8am so I had to actually arrive the night before). I gave myself an extra hour to find the room (navigating an unfamiliar campus on a weekend is pretty tough -- no one around to ask for directions!). It was a good thing too, because when I finally found the building, there was a note on the door saying the GRE tests have moved to a different building!! Luckily there were a bunch of other GRE test takers in the same situation and we were able to find the new room together. But definitely give yourself time!!
