London School of Economics Mphil/PhD in IR?

Hi everyone, 

 

I was just wondering if any of you are considering applying, have applied, and/or have been accepted to the IR program at LSE (MPhil/PhD). If so, do you happen to have any info on what they're looking for in the way of a dissertation proposal? Obviously I don't want a topic or some magic formula. I'm just curious about the level of detail, specifically regarding methodology. 

I already have a master's degree where I got some methods training, and I know LSE does give some extra methods training, but I'm not quite sure how much methods background they expect me to have while applying. Any input would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
