Just a quick question about Pittsburgh Sociology

Can someone please tell me why Pittsburgh is considered to be such an undesired place to study. I came across some comments saying  "Pittsburgh Sociology is the worst graduate school", or "I don't even know why I applied this school" etc. I'm an international applicant with research interests in ethnicity, class, and social movements. Pittsburgh seems to be a good fit for me, and I'm seriously considering it, but comments on this school is really discouraging. I know it is not ranked high, but other than that it seems quite likeable. Can you please explain to me why it is so unpopular? Thanks.
