Chops13 Posted September 18, 2013 Posted September 18, 2013 Hello, I am applying for admission next fall. I am really interested in I/O PHD programs that have their own consulting firms so that I can gain some applied experience. I am making a list of the programs that I already know of down below. If you know of anymore please let me know! So far I know of: Louisiana Tech Southern Illinois Carbondale Wayne State Thanks!
BeingThere Posted September 19, 2013 Posted September 19, 2013 Many PhD programs in I/O offer their students opportunities for internships during the course of their graduate studies. If it's applied experience you want, I am sure you will find plenty of programs that encourage or outright facilitate that, even if they don't have their own consulting firms.
thedroidyouarelookingfor Posted September 20, 2013 Posted September 20, 2013 Look into UCF. I'm not an I/O student but I know a few of them and they seem happy with the program here.
Engali Posted October 6, 2013 Posted October 6, 2013 Saint Louis U's I/O program has a consulting firm.
paiged2 Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Penn State does. I mean, it's not technically a "firm" per say, but you do three years of consulting work during your first three years.
