Should I push back my GRE test?

Basic background: applying for the Fulbright, the JET program, and another fellowship that will take me to D.C. next year. In addition, I'll be applying to public health schools (Harvard, JHs, Emory, UNC).

GRE Scores so far on practice exams (both last week):

Princeton: V69%, Q74%

ETS: V70%, Q92%

I want to get into the 90th percentiles for both verbal and quantitative in hopes of teaching for Kaplan (and possibly Manhattan if it gets that high) for some side income for... basically the rest of my life (I know, I'm a long-term planner). I've been studying for a couple months now, more intensely these last couple weeks. I was wondering if I should push back my GRE date (Sept. 30th) to study even more intensely to get a competitive score.

Pros: Able to teach for Kaplan, gain a more competitive score for graduate school, increased chances of funding.

Cons: Very time consuming, may not even increase that much/trying to reach a goal in vain.

If you have the money, you can go ahead and take it now and if you don't do well take another one in late Oct/early Nov (has to be at least 30 days out). If you take it late Oct you likely won't have an option to take it again in time. Just a thought!

I would also recommend taking it on the Sept. date and just plan to retake it if your scores aren't as high as you would have hoped. You might surprise yourself and do really well the first time, and if not, you'll have another shot at doing better the second time.
