I am on the waitlist to IU and was wondering how many accepted to IU plan to go there, and those waitlisted if they get in. I still have one school left to hear from, and 1 very nice offer w/funding. I might go to IU if I make it in off the waitlist because it is a higher-ranked school than the others.

Anyone else?

On the waitlist at Indiana but will almost certainly be going to UCSB or Georgetown. Just haven't decided which one.

I'm waitlisted as well and would definitely go to IU if I was offered admission and funding.

From what I understand, only a very small minority of people (if any) are offered admission without funding, so if you make it off the waitlist, you should be fine.

You got a fantastic package from UCSB; far above the average funding there, from what I understand it to be. I have to think that level of enthusiasm for you would make for a great learning environment!

Talk about 3 totally different locations to go to school in.

I e-mailed IU a few days ago to see if they could give me some idea of my waitlist status. I received a prompt reply that I was in the middle (what an unhappy place to be!) so it would probably be prudent to accept another offer. I appreciated the honesty.

Same thing for me... I was really glad that they spoke candidly in the email. No fanning the flames of false hopes.
