greencoloredpencil Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) I know most programs ask for 3 letters, however, is it acceptable to submit 4 assuming they are all very strong letters? Edited October 9, 2013 by greencoloredpencil
wandajune Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 (edited) I assume it would depend on the program. Some programs say that you may submit more than 3, but that if you do all of them may not be read, or read closely, etc. In general I don't think it would be a bad thing to submit 4 good letters if it's allowed, but it may not necessarily help you. thelonious23 Posted November 13, 2013 Posted November 13, 2013 If they let you submit four and you have four strong letters, do it. I submitted four when I applied to MAs and it worked out fine. Some will only let you do three, so figure out in advance who you think is least helpful to you.
