Alun
Anyone who knows anything about the Communication Ph.D. programs at these two universities (their strenghs, ranking and reputations etc.) Which one is better? Thanks a lot !
CommPhD20
I know the Comm. program at Iowa to be small, well-regarded, and selective. They employ primarily humanistic approaches AFAIK. They have a Journalism and Mass Comm. program that might be considered more interdisciplinary and multi-methodological, though I'm not sure of its prestige. Thank you so much, JLRC for your information. I was only looking at Comm. program before you mentioned the other one. I just had a look at its website and was trying to compare the two programs. commcrazy
I'm at Uiowa right now in the Comm Studies program--specifically Rhetoric & Public Advocacy. PM me if you have any questions. (also, cough, the journalism and mass comm program isn't as reputable and is in constant danger of losing its accreditation.)
