Social Science and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) application

Well the SSHRC application season is here again. And folks in social science related programs in Canada would be familiar with what I am talking about. I understand the internal deadline for most schools was this past Tuesday (October 15th). Feel free to leave a comment or share your thoughts on the application process as we wait for results in April 2014. Did I hear someone say April 2014 is too far away?

The internal deadline for my school is the first week of Nov so I'm still doing revisions and sending my drafts around, ordering transcripts and the like. My application was waitlisted this past round so maybe I'll get one before April, but I am definitely not counting on it and am working to perfect this year's application. Background: first year PhD, received MA SSHRC.

The deadline here was the 15th. I unofficially heard back from the dep. they met and I was A-listed. We'll see how it goes.

My internal dept. deadline was this past Monday (21st). Committe hasn't met yet. I put this years draft through the ringer with workshops and the like, so I'm hoping for good things! I don't even care about the monies, I just really don't want to have to do this again next year! Good luck guys!

My department met two weeks ago. I'm waiting to hear something perhaps this week since the deadline to forward applications to the School of Graduate Studies (SGS) is Nov 6th.
