justkeepsmiling
Hi all - I'm considering applying to Molloy College in Long Island, NY, which is currently in the "pre-accreditation" stage of ASHA Certification. It has a five year trial run, if you will. My professors have always stressed the importance of ASHA Certification, but have never told us what would happen should we go to a school that isn't yet fully ASHA Accredited. What's the process for a school like this? Does anyone have any knowledge on this subject? Furthermore, if you've gone/go/know anyone who attends Molloy and want to give me some imput about the program in general, that would be awesome! tmr1523
I am applying to a school with a similar format right now. After asking them, my understanding is that the pre-accreditation stage is just a waiting period. They are basically there, it's just a matter of time before they can say they are completely ASHA certified. Of course, I would check with someone at Molloy just to make sure, but that's how I understood it.
