ProfMoriarty Posted October 19, 2013 Posted October 19, 2013 Hey all, I am wondering if applying to two programmes at the same university if detrimental to my application. There are two Master's degrees at University College London that are great fits for my interests (this is explained by the fact that one is extremely interdisciplinary, but also very theory-oriented while the other one is more hands-on than theoretical). I know some universities recommend against applying to different programmes because it shows that you have no idea what you want to do, but giving that I could approach my interests from both these areas, would it be bad to apply to both?
ar88 Posted November 3, 2013 Posted November 3, 2013 As someone who's studied in the UK, I think it's fine. Because applications are read by individual course directors (for MAs) and not an admissions committee like in the US.
