Supervisor not available for recommendation, would that be a negative factor?

My undergrad supervisor is has gone abroad and is really hard to get him free any time soon assuming he is the busiest person alive.(!)

I am planning to take recommendations from my current employer( Technical Director) and two of my undergrad professors who taught me as undergrad student.

I am not sure if this would harm my chances as I am not getting recommendation from my undergrad research supervisor.

Thanks in advance.

I'm pretty sure they can't tell who your supervisor is. It's also entirely possible to have a better personal relationship with people who aren't your direct superior. I think it'll be fine. If it's not, then what?

Is hunting your sup down and then trying to get the rec going to be worth it? I don't think it'd make that big of a difference, if at all.
