didal_imagine Posted November 10, 2013 Posted November 10, 2013 I just took the GRE practice test (PowerPrep II) for the first time, ahead of an exam booked for mid December. Scored 157 verbal and 160 quantitative which I'm pretty happy with at this stage. I have a few questions and would be grateful for feedback from anyone who can help: 1. I felt I performed strongly on the first Quant section, but then I found the second Quant section very hard. I understand this is a feature of the test. However, if you get a low score on a harder second section, is there a risk that you end up with a lower overall score than if you performed poorer on the first section then got a high score on an easier second section? 2. You get a 1 minute break between sections, plus the 10 minute break midway through. However, at the start of each section the instructions page seems to have no time limit, so can you effectively take longer breaks if needed? 3. I had one question where I had to give the answer as a fraction (22/100) but it didn't say anything about whether to simplify it. In the end I did what I felt was the "right" thing and put 11/50 down. Do I still get credit in that situation?

Not sure about the first two questions, but from what I've read, you can put in any equivalent fraction.
