Is scratch paper allowed for GRE?

On GRE test day at the Prometrics center, will they provide blank paper for the test? I'd like to solve problems out first.

They will provide you will scratch paper and pencils when you are taken to your computer station. They will also give you more, if you use all of yours up. But I found that the amount that they gave me was more than enough.

They will also take away old scratch paper when they give you more (at least they did for me) so don't expect to be able to continue a calculation on an old piece of scrap paper. I would try to make sure I have enough scratch paper to complete the entire upcoming section before starting a section (do it during the 1 minute break or while you are on the instructions screen).
