Help? MPhil Oxford Development Studies application!

Hello,

I am applying to the MPhil programme of Oxford for development studies among other master programmes. The application requires two essays and one statement of purpose. I am done with those the latter but I am still deciding for my essays. Thus, I was wondering if the current or former or anyone who applied to the programme could give me insights for my application. As in, any suggestions or anything that would help me submit an almost perfect (?) application.

Really, any comment or suggestion would be appreciated.
