grad2015 Posted December 2, 2013 Posted December 2, 2013 Studies EE at Canadian university Stanford is my dream school but my undergrad GPA is just above 3.5/4.0 Don't know if gender will make any difference but I'm a female applicant Any hope?
qualthian Posted December 3, 2013 Posted December 3, 2013 You never know. Better apply than regret not applying.
xGeek Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 I agree with qualthian that you should apply if it's your dream school, especially if other parts of your application (research experience, publications, industry experience, recommendation letters or GRE) are strong. According to this: http://cs.stanford.edu/content/faqs#b15 you meet the minimum GPA requirements for MS at Stanford.
Adamah Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 3.5 isn't so bad. If the rest of your application is strong then you definitely have a chance.
grad2015 Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 Another problem is that I have a double major and my second majors GPA is only 2.6. Even though this is not my major GPA I'm really afraid that it will hurt my chances
Adamah Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 I still think it's worth trying for. What's your quant GRE?
grad2015 Posted December 7, 2013 Author Posted December 7, 2013 Taking GRE in the coming July..I'm a 2015 applicant
