There is no harm in asking about this. You can point out that you're otherwise doing well, so you may be given a second chance at Biochem. I think it would be worthwhile to inquire about your options to reapply to the program and the likelihood of readmission and go from there. Best of luck to you! I asked about that early on actually, and it seems I can't actually reapply to the program unless I reapply as a PhD candidate, which seems to be like it'd be a less than favorable outcome. Can you not request for another chance to enrol for Biochem once again and try to improve your grade? Apparently not- since I was already on shaky ground to start with and etc, it seems unlikely unless my PI can work something out. Not that I've heard from him yet.
