Decisions from the University of Chicago

Hi All

I just wanted to check if anyone here has heard from Chicago for Statistics. There are a couple of PhD acceptances on the board from back in February but no rejections at all. There are also plenty of both acceptances and rejections for Masters.

I haven't heard back from them even after sending them two e-mails in the last month.

Any news will be helpful.

Yeah I haven't heard anything either. I'd imagine that either makes us rejected or WL.

I e-mailed the administrative assistant in charge of taking admissions questions, and she responded that a decision had not yet been made on my application and to check again if i didn't hear back by the end of the week.

Did you all get the same email i just did? It said if I hadnt yet been offered a place in the MS, then that means I will not be offered a place this year. I guess that also means I've been rejected from the PhD.

Fortunately I didn't receive that email, but I'd imagine at this point it's only a matter of time! Or maybe I'm on the waiting list?

hi guys,

i will apply in fall 2009 (stats PhD). what were your math subject test scores, if i can ask? and work/research experience? i'm trying deduce the minimum requirements for different schools, see if it makes sense to apply to any of the more prestigious schools.

for those interested, just got the rejection e-mail from U of C statistics ph.d

e-mail said if i had not received an offer or notification of being on the wait list by now, that i would not be receiving an offer, and that the program is now full.

me too. i feel strongly that they could have sent this email ages ago...
