beachvbguy
I'm tutoring a new student for the writing portion of the GRE. I have extensive experience tutoring students for both the TOEFL/IELTS exams, and the verbal GMAT. The two writing tasks for the GRE seem remarkably similar to the TOEFL (issue task) and the GMAT (Analysis of an Argument). Since there don't seem to be a large number of GRE writing prompts about, I'm thinking about using the TOEFL and GMAT prompts for writing practice. Please SPECIFICALLY let me know if you have any experience or fact-based opinions about whether this is actually a realistic plan, or, if not, what differences there are in the writing prompts. Having looked at the sample prompts on the ETS site, they seem sufficiently similar to the purpose. Thanks in advance for any guidance.
waypastnoon
What do you mean "there don't seem to be a large number of GRE writing prompts about"? ETS has the entire pool published on their website. http://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare/analytical_writing/issue/pool and http://www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare/analytical_writing/argument/pool guadalcanal
