Hello everyone,

I am debating which GRE scores to send. My GRE score report probably represents an idiosyncratic eccentricity, but I just don't think I test well on the test format for the verbal section. I am applying to various master's degree (M.S.) programs in industrial engineering, in addition to another program in technology and policy.

Nov 2013: 154V (62%) / 167Q (95%) / 4.5W (78%)

Dec 2013: 152V (53%) / 170Q (98%) / 5.5W (97%)

I am biting lips out of anxiety for the discrepancy between the verbal scores in November and December. Should I send both scores regardless?

Thank you very much theGradCafe community, and I wish you all a merry, jolly holiday season!

I'd say the second one -- engineering schools are more likely to care about the Q section, and your AW section increased, too.

Good luck with your applications, and happy holidays to you, too! :D

You could send both. If anything, it shows you went from amazing to even more amazing at the Q section, and you've got a nice V range, while your AWA clearly indicates strong writing/vocabulary based on the ETS guidelines.

Thank you very much everyone! (Especially TakeMyCoffeeBlack for your additional tip). Time to focus on SOP now!

Happy Jolly Holidays!
