armanb Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Hi Dear Guys My name is Arman. I'm a senior three-year bachelor student of neuroscience in Italy. I'm 32. I have also an associate degree in computer engineering from Iran. My Toefl Score is 88. My GRE score is 147 V and 155 Q. My GPA is 3.48. In my curriculum I have different courses from Psychology, Biology, Mathematics, Physics and Engineering. I also have done my thesis in computational models of object recognition. I like to continue my study in decision-making and computational models. I applied for Washington University in St. Louis and even if the professor encouraged me too much they didn't accept me and now I'm waiting for the decision of the University of Texas at Arlington, Department of Psychology. I have found a professor who has just the same research interests as me and told me that you are such a student that I'm looking for. But what makes me anxious is my GRE score. The professor in Arlington told me to retake GRE but it is impossible for me because I study in Italian language and I should take the exam in Italy and now I can not improve it. I will appreciate if some one help me to relieve a little bit my anxiety and tell me how seems my status. Bests Arman
Lisa44201 Posted January 9, 2014 Posted January 9, 2014 Your Verbal is low, sure, but your Quant is not too terrible. I'm guessing you're submitting TOEFL scores as well; hopefully people can look at a TOEFL score and figure out you're taking the GRE in a non-native language. If you don't get in this time, reapply next year, but apply to more schools. Even if you had great GRE scores, you've still applied to only two schools.

Can I ask for which university have you applied and what is your interest?
