firefly85 Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 I thought I'd start a thread for American since I am most likely going here in the fall. That is unless I get a comparable funding offer from the other school I'm waiting on, which is doubtful. I'm going into the International Communications program in SIS. I'm definitely excited to be going to DC. Is anyone else going to the SIS accepted students day on April 13? Anyone planning to go to American for another program?
s800x Posted April 4, 2009 Posted April 4, 2009 Hey firefly, I'll be starting at SIS in the fall for the International Politics program. I won't be at the accepted students day as I'm English.
firefly85 Posted April 5, 2009 Author Posted April 5, 2009 Cool, what are you doing over the summer? I had originally thought I'd be going to a program that starts in the summer, but now it doesn't look that way so I'm trying to figure out what to do with myself. I'd like to get a paid internship (maybe in DC) but those seem hard to come by. If not that then maybe part time unpaid internship and full or part time random job.
frane Posted April 7, 2009 Posted April 7, 2009 One more here...I'm going to go SIS this fall also, for International Economic Relations program. Sadly not able to attend the graduate day. Will you go there for the event, firefly85?
firefly85 Posted April 7, 2009 Author Posted April 7, 2009 I am planning to go. I can let you guys know how it goes.
slothrop99 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 See y'all in the Fall. - I'll be in the IDEV program. Won't be able to make it to Grad Day, though.
areese07 Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 I will be attending American....for PhD in Anthropology.
cooperphd Posted April 10, 2009 Posted April 10, 2009 Another one attending American. I am in the Justice, Law & Society program. The visitation day was great. Can't wait to move back to DC. I am already starting to look for places to live, but it looks like most places aren't advertising for late summer yet.
emcal7ik Posted April 14, 2009 Posted April 14, 2009 I'll be going to American in the fall for an MA in Art History- I'm in the same boat, hoping to find a place early on, but no one advertising yet for summer.
threetuns Posted May 14, 2009 Posted May 14, 2009 International student, admitted to PhD Public Administration, someone else looking for housing? Any hint?
MsMPP Posted May 20, 2009 Posted May 20, 2009 I will most likely be at AU this fall in the School of Public Affairs. Any other MPP students here? I will check this thread throughout the summer.
