rugby Posted April 7, 2009 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Has anyone applied for a Fulbright-Hays? I applied for a doctoral dissertation research abroad grant to India, and am anxiously awaiting a reply. I am sort of confused about the notification process, especially since the website says "regret letters" go out to institutions in february and march. As far as I know, however, my university hasn't received word on awards. I am hoping decisions come down relatively soon though, time to start planning the next year of my life... sunbean8 Posted April 19, 2009 Share Posted April 19, 2009 I know one person who was informed that they got a Fulbright-Hays (for Brazil) two days ago. Not sure if F-H, like IIE, is country-specific in reply times or not, though, and no one else I know has received word. As best I understand it from my Fulbright adviser, if you haven't received notification of principle or alternate status, you are essentially out of the running. I am not sure why they would do the notification in that order, but I've been told that I should assume I am not receiving a grant... Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
