krystasonrisa Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Hi everyone!I've recently discovered thegradcafe results page and my anxiety has exploded. It seems my first choice department I applied to has been accepting students for over a month and I haven't heard a thing. Though my GPA and GRE are very comparable to the accepted students (in most cases better), should I assume rejection? I guess you could say it isn't over until it's over, but it feels pretty over. Oh, my pride... it burns.
maelduin Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Hiya Krystasonrisa, I really don't think you should look at the results page too much. I do as well, but I assume that a lot of these things come in waves, and you shouldn't be too worried yet. But, I'm waiting on results for Master's progams so my situation might be different. You could always try to call?
JewishSombrero Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Oh my empathy runs deep with you... I saw the first acceptance posted from my first choice as well today. I received nothing My stomach is in all sorts of knots and I can't decide whether I should drown my sorrows/anxiety in tequila or not. But technically, it ain't over 'till the fat lady sings.
gingin6789 Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Just know that schools send notifications out in waves. As someone in the Sociology forum reminds us "it's not over til it's over." I know this wait is torturous!! Dianali 1
