90sNickelodeon Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 This school seems fabulous and the alumni list is damned impressive for International Relations and Diplomacy. Here is a link: http://www.coleurop.be/ From the website: The Master of Arts in EU International Relations and Diplomacy Studies provides its students with in-depth knowledge of the European Union as a global actor as well as skills in international negotiations and diplomacy. The intensive one-year study programme brings together an interdisciplinary analysis of the EU
mrynka18 Posted April 8, 2009 Posted April 8, 2009 What do you want to do with your degree? How does the cost compare to the other universities you are considering? I am choosing universities in Europe over US ones, and right now I am set on working for the EU. The list of alumna shows you that graduates of the university hold important positions in various international bodies, even U.S. bodies. I would definitely consider it, especially if you see what you can get out of this degree and where you want it to take you.
90sNickelodeon Posted April 8, 2009 Author Posted April 8, 2009 Cheers! My goal is to work for either the U.S. Department of State or the United Nations. I'll end up working abroad, and I think the College of Europe credentials would be beneficial. COE would indeed be cheaper than a U.S. program, and also quicker (1 year as opposed to 2). My only hesitation is I've heard that European schools are not as highly regarded as U.S. schools. :?
