  1. What do you want to do with your degree? How does the cost compare to the other universities you are considering? I am choosing universities in Europe over US ones, and right now I am set on working for the EU. The list of alumna shows you that graduates of the university hold important positions in various international bodies, even U.S. bodies. I would definitely consider it, especially if you see what you can get out of this degree and where you want it to take you.
  2. Continue working full-time at my current job and saving as much as I can. Reading, writing, photography- enjoyable things. Beach and getaways on the weekends. Language learning.
  3. English was not my native language, but now I know it better than the other languages I know and usually say I am a native speaker. Other: Polish, Russian, French. I want to learn another one though haven't decided what. I wish I was fluent in 10 or more
  4. The only other information I can offer you is that one person I know only found out in later June she had been accepted, and another friend has been denied her first choice in early February, and is still waiting on her 2nd choice. Though, I understand this doesn't really pertain to you except that it might take some time for a decision to be made. Good luck to you! (I found out today I was accepted).
  5. Thanks for this viewpoint/information. I highly considered SIPA before, but decided on LSE instead and luckily got in!
  6. Did they mention any possible ranking on the waiting list? Some schools will mention if you are high on the waiting list and still have a chance, or if you are not then it's likely a 'no'.
  7. I agree- I've been cleared for a federal position and have studied/lived/have many contacts abroad. If you are prepared to give detailed information they want, it shouldn't be a problem. While it may be an extra 'step', I don't see why you wouldn't be cleared and chosen if you have the credentials.
  8. LSE is my top choice, and I am surprised that someone looked so down on it. LSE is a prestigious institution for IR, especially in IPE. To threetuns- what you said about LSE is what makes me hope to get in and attend. I've had friends who are 'above mediocre' that have been denied admission this year. I find it very competitive to get accepted.
  9. Has anyone considered applying to graduate schools outside the US? This is for IR/Global Affairs. For someone who wants to work in organizations concerning US-Europe, would it be beneficial to get a masters degree in Europe?
