So far since I have made round one of cuts and have been invited to interviews they are EXTREMELY short:

Interview #1 (in person- About 80 applicants for about 10 spots.) asked me about 5 questions, just mostly about myself and one technical question. And lasted about 10 minutes max.

Interview #2 (via phone - About 55 applicants for about 10 spots.) asked me only 2 questions basically about why that particular university and if I had any other questions (nothing even relevant about my field).  I ended up asking her about 5 questions back, and felt a little bad afterwards. Maybe I was too aggressive?

I guess I feel some type of way because I feel like they don't really get to know me from such a brief and informal interview. I guess they are going to look over each application again or the interview just a formality, but I think it's odd to narrow down (again) so many people based on a short list of questions.
