Anyone else UIUC Aerospace Engineering non thesis

Hey,guys. Is there anyone who applied for Aerospace Engineering program, MS degree of UIUC of fall 2014  get this result in the end?

As far as I know, three applicants in my major got this . It seems that UIUC give such self supported admittion to many applicants.

Sure, i got accepted for this program as well even though I applied for MS and wanted to continue with Phd. Well, a professor must guarantee funding for you in order to jump over to the thesis program and I have heard that is pretty tough to happen. They just want you to pay full tuition for one year and then who knows. I will probably reject it. Felt really awful,because I have done 5-years in my undergrad and I have done a thesis as well, so it would be weird for me to do a M.S degree without thesis.

 

On the other hand, if you are not interested in research afterwards it is a good start to get into the industry i guess in a quick way.
