sdinsd Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 i had an embarrassingly low gpa in my undergrad. i've heard back from the dept that i applied to saying that they drafted a letter to graduate admissions that i'm a great candidate and they want me for the program, but they aren't certain what the university will decide since i'm a "special admit." any advice/experience regarding this?
kal1337 Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 You will get accepted, dont worry about it. If the department wants you, your in. Thats what happened to me at one of the schools I applied to.
microarray Posted March 13, 2014 Posted March 13, 2014 If the department recommended you, I don't see why you wouldn't get officially accepted by the graduate school. FYI - I waited about a week between departmental acceptance and official acceptance to the graduate school via email to UMich.
