portugabel Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 Hello every supposedly now-admitted PhD student in Business, I was wondering if any of you was going to attend the following pre-conference/consortium which takes places before the Annual AoM conference in Chicago (this year in August): AOM NDSC - New Doctoral Student Consortium - Home Moreover, what do future students involved with Management (incl. Strategy, OB, ...) think about attending this even before having started the PhD? Is it a good opportunity to meet people from other universities, to interact with your fellow PhD students in Management? Or is it still too early and not worth spending money on this? Last question... shouldn't it be more interesting then to attend the whole conference? Thanks all for your input, comments, feedback !
doctoraldude Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 for me, not worth the jetlag & 1000+ dollars otherwise it should be a good opportunity to network with peers-to-be ...
