Will Grad School cause me to drastically change my work for the sake of "concept"? I am dreading this.

"...being plain ignorant" . I hate when discussions devolve into this. Ignorant of what, exactly? The secret formula to what constitutes "good art"? Please...enlighten us.

Ignorant of what? Ignorant of the complexities of art and of meaning and the predication of meaning...

there is, as you yourself say, obviously no secret formula to making good art, so anyone who is dogmatically supposing otherwise is ignorant of that fairly obvious fact.
