kahlan_amnell Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 Anyone else headed to Washington State University in Pullman, WA next Fall? I'll be starting my Ph.D. in U.S. History there.
paulie_e Posted April 22, 2009 Posted April 22, 2009 Anyone else headed to Washington State University in Pullman, WA next Fall? I'll be starting my Ph.D. in U.S. History there. Hey! Looks like were are the only ones . Do let me know how your apartment search goes and all the details like what side of town is nice and close to the action. Have you figured out what areas are best for housing? As far as not too many parties going on, but still in a place you can have fun? I hope to reserve a place soon.
kahlan_amnell Posted April 22, 2009 Author Posted April 22, 2009 All I know about housing so far is what people posted in the Pullman thread. I'm headed to Pullman to look at apartments from Sunday to Wednesday, so I'll let you know what I find once I get back.
kahlan_amnell Posted May 2, 2009 Author Posted May 2, 2009 I posted about my visit to Pullman on the City Guide board.
Minnesotan Posted May 9, 2009 Posted May 9, 2009 If you can find a quiet area of College Hill, you're in business. I live on the side of the hill, on the second terrace of the "cliff," and I can't hear the keggers unless I walk out to the road. That, and a 10-15 minute walk to my office make it worth not living in Moscow.
kahlan_amnell Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 I've registered for most of my classes, just waiting on an independent study that seems to be complicated to register for. Looks like I just have to get that done before August 24th to avoid a late registration fee, so that should work. I'll be moving to Pullman on August 1st.
heatmal Posted June 28, 2009 Posted June 28, 2009 Just found the forum, I'll be going out there fall '09 for a Botany PhD!
kahlan_amnell Posted June 28, 2009 Author Posted June 28, 2009 Just found the forum, I'll be going out there fall '09 for a Botany PhD! Yay another WSU person! When do you plan to move? Have you found a place to live yet? There is a thread for Pullman on the City Guide board, it has a lot of helpful information.
heatmal Posted June 30, 2009 Posted June 30, 2009 I'll be getting there around Aug 5, I found a cute little apartment with GDS properties. I'll go check out the Pullman thread, thanks!
Minnesotan Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 It's funny that a Research 1 with almost 30k students has so few people who want to meet and greet. Then again, most of the action is over on the Pullman thread.
kahlan_amnell Posted August 13, 2009 Author Posted August 13, 2009 So, do any of you plan to go to the all University Picnic on the 21st? It is from 11:00 to 1:30 at the Mooberry Track. http://www.wsucalendar.wsu.edu/pages/ev ... 11:00%20AM
thecaitycat Posted August 16, 2009 Posted August 16, 2009 I'm going to WSU! I'm at the Spokane campus, though, for an MA in Speech Language Pathology. I just moved up here from Portland today.
kahlan_amnell Posted August 31, 2009 Author Posted August 31, 2009 Anyone in Pullman headed to Spokane this Thursday or early Friday? Could I get a ride with you if you are? I need to get to the Spokane airport for an early flight on Friday morning, and the price for shuttles or cabs is really high unless you can take Wheatland Express. Unfortunately, that only runs once a day, and won't work for getting to this flight. Help?
