  1. How has everyone's first week been so far? The school of economic science's orientation was nice and the picnic was fun. We have a lot of nice people in the department. I anticipated lots of work, but this week has shown me how much I gotta catch up on. Looks like I will be on campus working about 12 hours a day. If anyone wants to meet for a coffee during the week or weekend that would be cool. I'm up for it anytime outside of M,W,F 9-2 and T,Th 10-12.
  2. I just got into Pullman yesterday. I have been busy taking care of apartment stuff and shopping. Are you going to the general graduate orientation? I won't be able to make it because my girlfriend is visiting. It would be cool to meet up for a coffee and you could tell my anything I missed. I am still figuring out the town, just been driving around Pullman and Moscow. Let me know.
  3. I hope to be settled in by August 10th, but I have to quit my job here at the end of July and move out of my apartment. I hope to hit the road on August 2nd and do some backpacking in Yellowstone on the way up. The drive should be fun.
  4. Thanks for the info. Very helpful to someone who is 3,000 miles away and won't be able to visit before moving up there. I did some research into Glendimer and it looks good. All the others I have looked at online either have bad reviews, or are old, in bad locations, expensive, full, etc...I got in touch with Glendimer and will be getting an apartment reserved soon. I think I will be on Wayne St. Thanks again!
  5. Hey! Looks like were are the only ones . Do let me know how your apartment search goes and all the details like what side of town is nice and close to the action. Have you figured out what areas are best for housing? As far as not too many parties going on, but still in a place you can have fun? I hope to reserve a place soon.
  6. Cool thread, lots of helpful information. I will be attending WSU's Applied Econ Masters program in the Fall. I will be moving up there from South Carolina. I love hiking/backpacking and the landscape around WSU looks amazing. You guys have gotten me excited to get out there. I am looking at apartments right now and have come across both the following that seem reasonable. Anyone have any recommendations or information on either? I am looking for a pet friendly (cat), one bedroom apartment. The Cougar Apartments - http://www.apartmentrentalsinc.com/Pullman_cougar.htm The Aegis - http://www.apartmentrentalsinc.com/Pullman_aegis.htm I'm not picky about old apartments as long as everything isn't broken. I am mainly looking for something quiet (I have to study a lot), safe (especially for my car), and close to the bus route. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
