Will I be disqualified from waitlist if I accept other offer?

I'm currently on the waitlist for two of my top schools. Will accepting an offer from another program disqualify me from the waitlists? I want to see if I'll be admitted to either of those programs, but I don't want to be left without any options if I don't get in off the waitlist.

 

Any thoughts? I know that law schools will take you off the waitlist if you accept any other offer, but do masters programs have the same rules?

I don't think the masters programs have any way of knowing if you accept somewhere else unless you tell them..  I would wait as long as you can to accept if you want to wait for other offers. I don't think it is good form to accept an offer and then change your mind. Especially after April 15th.
