I think there is a chance I could be admitted to MSPP off of the waitlist.. but without any funding, obviously. This is an expensive program- do you think it's worth paying sticker price?

Has anyone heard of someone switching MA programs at Elliott? I appled to the IDEV program but am having second thoughts about such a specialized program. I'm thinking I'd rather do the International Affairs program with a specialization in development and potentially something else- what are your thoughts about the possibility of me being allowed to do this? I want to start this fall.. I really don't want to reapply.

I'm currently on the waitlist for two of my top schools. Will accepting an offer from another program disqualify me from the waitlists? I want to see if I'll be admitted to either of those programs, but I don't want to be left without any options if I don't get in off the waitlist. Any thoughts? I know that law schools will take you off the waitlist if you accept any other offer, but do masters programs have the same rules? Thanks!

brian.sabina, Do you happen to have any insight on how the admissions process works for CIR students interested in the joint MA program in IR and Public Policy? I'm been admitted to CIR but am only interested if I could definitely get into the one-year public policy program at Harris. Do you have any peers that are in that program? I've tried to get into contact with their admissions office but no one seems to get back to me..

What do you guys think about the strength of this program? I'm worried that it doesn't carry as much clout as other DC-area MPP programs. Any thoughts or insight?

I haven't received this email either.. went to Michigan for undergrad. I'm really clueless about my chances of admission!
